Tarnation is on hiatus! It will be back in about a year! In the meantime I am debuting a new comic called "Haunted City!"

Haunted city is the supernatural romance tale of an artist named Epiphany (blame her parents), an investigator named Stephen and their ghost, Quinn.

So, if you look you will see that I have updated three times in one month. I am shooting for a fourth which would be great.

In any case,if you don't like RSS feeds and still want to know when the comic updates you can always follow my Twitter or look me up on the Face thing (my name there is also Michael J Patrick -see how easy it is?).

It's been over a month since my last page. Sorry about that. Hope I don't do that ever again. I really intend to update EVERY week. Life gets in the way, you know?

Anyway, the plot should be unfolding a little more in the next couple of pages. This page here has lots of fun looking background characters. I like to think that each of them has a story going on parallel to the stories of our main characters. Maybe some day I will explore some of them as well.

Feel free to leave feedback!!

Inactivity...

This comic has been inactive for close to a month, but don't despair (unless you hate it, then you can despair all you want).

I am working on new pages as we speak, plus I have put together a mini which contains the first chapter of the comic so far.

I know a lot of people have discovered this comic through some ads I have been placing lately, and I welcome you in. If you have read the archives and like what you see be sure there will be more to come soon, so keep m bookmarked or RSSed or whatever it is you kids are doing these days.

More Tarnation is on the way!

Constantly evolving art

I hate the way I draw. From panel to panel Miriam's face changes shape like a piece of silly putty.

I created a new ad banner that reflects the way I am probably going to draw her here on out (costume change for her soon too):

I probably will keep the lines black (as opposed to the color holds I used in the banner) just for the sake of time, but I am going to make my characters a little more anatomically solid from now on. Closer to the first few pages that I drew more slowly. They say about drawing comics, "First you get good, then you get fast. Then you get good and fast." I skipeed the first step and went right to fast.

Late!

Sorry, but this week's comic will more than likely be late. I have a lot of stuff going on and something has to give. I will do my best to get something up as soon as I can. I understand the importance of posting regularly and I appreciate all of the people who read my comic very much.

See you soon.
